With almost four decades of competitive clay shooting experience, Damien brings an extraordinary depth of experience to the role. A multiple Australian team member, he has competed and achieved podium finishes at State, National, Oceania and World level across multiple disciplines, with a particular specialisation in sporting clays.
Damien’s competitive record includes the 2009 World FITASC Championship, a runner-up finish at the 2015 World FITASC Championship, six Oceania FITASC Championships, two Open World Cup titles and three additional World Cup podium finishes. At home, his record includes 10 Australian National FITASC Championships, five Australian Grand Prix Championships and three English Sporting National Championships.
Beyond competition, Damien has extensive knowledge of gun fit and Perazzi set-ups, helping shooters tailor their shotgun to their individual requirements and discipline. He also provides regular coaching covering equipment selection, eye dominance, focus points, gun mount and fit, stance, hold points, lead techniques and the mental approach to competition.
Damien’s combination of competitive experience, technical knowledge and passion for the sport makes him a valuable addition to the Perazzi team, and a trusted point of contact for shooters across Australia and New Zealand.
